I am responsible for the Nestlé Prize in Creating Shared Value. Launched in 2009, the Nestlé Prize in Creating Shared Value seeks to encourage and reward innovative approaches to the problems of nutrition, water, and rural development. The Prize is awarded in alternate years to an individual, a non-government organisation, a governmental organization, a research institute or a small enterprise, that has shown outstanding promise in improving access to, or management of, water; enhancing the lives of farmers and rural communities; or providing better nourishment to communities suffering from nutritional deficiencies. The winning organisation or individual will benefit from an investment of up to CHF 500 000 (approx. USD 480 000) to bring his project to scale or replicate it to other communities.
